Boondhi Laddu

Boondi laddu is must have Indian sweet for every happy occasion, festival or event. Although Boondi Ladoo is a North India sweet, it made its way into main stream sweet of South Indian people. Meal in no event of South india is fulfilled without this wonderfully tasting Bundi Laddu. Although several varients of Boondi Laddus are made in different parts of the country, the south Indian variety is made with bengal gram flour so called besan. Droplets of well mixed bengal gram batter are deep fried in oil and soaked in sugar syrup, and mixed with cashew, raisins and then shaped into round balls to make laddu.
